ABOUT MAEP

MEET Michelle

What makes any wedding or event memorable? Moments.  When the mother of the bride zips up her daughter’s wedding dress as she’s getting ready, the kiss shared by the newlyweds when no one is looking, the feeling when a guest walks into a reception space that takes their breath away.  As owner + planner/designer of Michelle Amarillo Event planning, I take care of the logistics, timelines, design, and styling so you never miss a moment.

I find the biggest inspiration and motivation from my own love story. In 2010, I married my husband, Andrew, who also happens to be my seventh grade love! Together, we created a home in Hampton Roads, Virginia, where we love spending quality time with our three boys!

During my downtime you can find me at Target, shopping in the home decor or baby section, rewatching my favorite series on the couch with my husband or decorating our home. I believe that every day must be greeted with a cup (or two!) of coffee. I love traveling, eat dessert first, and believe self confidence is a girl’s best accessory. I am a lover of love. I can’t wait to meet you and start working on your once in a lifetime event!

Chalise is the lead assistant at MAEP. She joined the team back in 2016. At Chalise's first wedding, Michelle was 8 months pregnant and unable to lift anything.  Chalise jumped right in, like a natural, and let’s just say... the two have been inseparable since!

Chalise is a huge asset to the MAEP team. She is calming, organized and so fun! On your wedding day or event you can see her hustling, helping out with vendors and assisting our clients, all with a big beautiful smile!

When Chalise isn’t at weddings, you can catch her reading books at the beach, traveling, spending time with friends and family or sprucing up her new home with all the IKEA goodies and plants she can find! Fun facts about Chalise: She is a certified personal trainer. She’s building a chicken coop. She has an MBA!
